    Truffles are delicious and easy to create for you or for giving. Dip truffles in chocolate or roll them in chopped nuts, cocoa, flaked coconut or chocolate sprinkles. Truffle centers may be a plain rich chocolate or they may be flavored with espresso or liqueurs. You can decide to place a surprise pecan half, whole almond or a candied cherry in the center, too!     The bundt cake craze is in full force. Learn tips and tricks from a demonstrator for Nordicware as you prepare, bake and glaze several types and sizes of Bundt cakes in class. Students will take home four bundt cakes made in class. Plan to give instructor $12 at class for consumables and supplies. Min. 6/Max. 12

    Come get some more skills in cake decorating.We will learn how to make buttercream roses, leaves, boarders and writing to decorate an 8" cake to take home.     This wonderful Norwegian delicacy is made for banquets, holidays, weddings and all special occasions. If you are Norwegian and missed recording Grandma’s recipe, tips and techniques – this is the class for you! Note: other nationalities find lefse delicious, too! Learn the finer points in making the dough, baking, storing and of course how to serve lefse – bonus is a bit of history and humor, too. Begin with real potatoes using a number of authentic recipes – and a modern version using instant potatoes. Sample your fresh, warm creations with traditional fillings, plus take home finished lefse and dough to bake then share with family and friends!   • Holiday Cookie & Candy Make-N-Take (Ages 12 +)

    Students will participate as a group making cookies and candies for the holidays.Favorites like Russian Teacakes, Peanut Butter Kiss Cookies, Cranberry-Orange Shortbread Cookies, Chocolate Fudge and Pretzel Rods dipped in caramel and chocolate.Each student will go home with 10 dozen boxed holiday treats.     The Minnesota hot dish (elsewhere called a casserole) is a one-dish supper or side dish baked in your oven using a single piece of cookware. We will use fresh ingredients (no canned soups) and do easy preparation for a family meal or make impressive elegant company fare for friends or crowd-pleasing recipes for potluck. Many of these hot dishes can be made ahead, chilled, and then baked. AND there is minimal dish washing. Plan to give instructor $15 at class for consumables and supplies
