  • Teachers "SAVE YOUR LICENSE" (Spring/Summer 2021)

    Hastings Community Education, in partnership with South Washington County Teacher's Union, offers teachers and easy way to meet all six Minnesota Professional Educator Licensing and Standards Board (PELSB) license renewal ‘requirements’ online! They are part of the total 125 hours needed in the five-year period to renew MN teaching licenses. To renew, most teachers must have at least one experience (or CEU hour) from each of the PELSB renewal requirement areas: Positive behavioral intervention strategies, reading instruction preparation, key warning signs of early-onset mental illness, suicide prevention, English learners, cultural competency. Complete these sessions online on your schedule! The non-refundable $25 registration fee is due with registration.   • CPR Instructor Course-Become an Instructor!

    Red Cross instructors make the world a better place! In this class, students will be equipped to teach the lifesaving skills associated with CPR. American Red Cross Training Services instructors are an elite group of professionals who teach valuable lifesaving skills to an average of more than 9 million people each year in businesses, schools and communities. This class will be held at MNCPR's Hastings facility.
  • Wilderness First Aid

    Designed for scouts and scout leaders, outdoor enthusiasts and anyone who works or spends time in remote environments, this course teaches advanced skills to be used in emergencies when help from professional first responders may be far away. Based on the Boy Scouts of America Wilderness First Aid Curriculum and Doctrine Guidelines, this course aligns with OSHA’s Best Practices for Workplace First Aid Training Programs. Prerequisites: Must be at least 14 years old and hold current adult CPR/AED certification. This is a 2 year certification.
  • Hybrid CPR/AED/FA

    This course will prepare you to recognize and care for a variety of emergency and non-emergency situations. The hybrid format combines the ease of online learning with in-class instruction. The online class will open a week prior to the in-person class time. Online classes must be done before in-person class can be taken. Cost includes all instruction, online access, and cards associated with this class.
  • AHA Basic Life Support

    The AHA’s Basic Life Support (BLS) course trains participants to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations and provide early use of an AED. Reflects science and education from the American Heart Association Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC). This class will be held at MNCPR's Hastings location.
  • First Aid/CPR/AED

    This course will prepare you to recognize and care for a variety of emergency and non-emergency situations that arise in everyday life. If you’re a hands-on learner who learns best when they can ask questions, work through problems, and work with the instructor, this is a great format for you. The all day session will be kept at a steady pace with times of instruction, scenarios, hands-on practice and more. This class is geared for adults and youth 14 and up. We will break for lunch. You may bring your own or you will have time to get something close-by. Cost includes all cards and registrations associated with this class.
