We will cover signing names, greetings, interests like sports, leisure activities, and appearance. Through engaging lessons, students learn practical skills fostering appreciation for ASL and Deaf culture.

Karlie is an American Sign Language teacher with seven years of experience teaching at the high school level. She holds a Master’s degree in Deaf and Hard of Hearing Education and a Bachelor’s degree in Deaf Education. From a young age, Karlie always knew she wanted to be a teacher, and that passion continues to shine through her work every day. She finds deep joy in connecting students to Deaf culture and fostering meaningful communication through ASL. Teaching is not just her career—it’s her calling—and she truly couldn’t imagine her life without it.
