Preschoolers between the ages of 3 and 5 years old need to participate in a screening before entering kindergarten. At screening, your child will participate in screening tools that support children’s development, checking: language and communication skills, social development, large and small motor skills, and cognitive skills. Screening also includes vision and hearing, height and weight, and immunization review.

You will meet with a teacher and nurse to review the results and the additional information you have provided about your child.
