You have heard the saying, "Use it or lose it" so we are offering the GRASP program this summer. GRASP is a correspondence program for grades K-8 which helps students maintain reading and math skills while they are on summer break. This program helps students retain skills learned during the past school year by providing review exercises. Students work on lessons weekly, send them in, and receive feedback from real educators. There is even an online option for 4th-8th grade. Order the grade level your student is in the process of completing. This is a review program, not intended for introducing new topics. Families save $10 when registering for both Math and Reading! Registration closes Sunday, April 28th. Materials can be sent to your child's school for distribution if they attend one of our public schools. If you do not attend one of our public schools, you will be notified when materials are available for pick up from Tilden Community Center.

Sept 18, 2023 - June 6, 2024 HHS upper level indoor track M-F: 6:00-7:00 AM and 3:00-10:00 PM*Sat: 8 AM - 3PM* $20 per person per school year $10 for Senior Center Members and Adult with Disabilities Program Participants Enter through the upper doors of the high school and enjoy a walk in a temperature controlled environment. Walk passes can be purchased online but participants must pick up a physical pass and have their driver’s license scanned for a raptor badge at Tilden Community Center. Passes are not issued at the high school. Dates are subject to change. Walking during the school day is not permitted because we do not have staff to supervise the area and high school students are using the track during the school day. Please have your pass available when you enter the high school as district staff may ask to see it for verification. *Walk program letter will include building closed dates and all other necessary information. Tilden Community Center will be open for Raptor badges Monday-Thursday 7:30am-4:30pm and Friday 7:30am-4pm. DASH Sports soccer Tykes camps provide players with an introductory experience to the game of soccer. Key elements of dribbling, passing, and shooting will be taught and practiced. Fun, skill-based games will be played to practice newly learned skills. Athletes should bring a water bottle (spikes and shin guards optional). Soccer balls are provided. Parent participation is encouraged when needed.

Our Conquer Rec Team is designed for youth, ages 6-9 of all experience levels. Our Rec Team will practice on real obstacles inspired by the tv show such as warped walls, salmon ladders, tilting ladders and so much more during their weekly practice. Rec Team members will learn the styles and techniques to develop their Ninja Skills with over 40 different obstacles! This 8 week long Rec Team consists of 6 practices and 2 competitions (week 4 and week 8).

Live plants will also be added to your garden and include take home care instructions. All supplies and material will be provided. A portion of this class may be held outdoors, weather permitting.

Several options of colorful pre-cut stained glass, glass tiles, mirrors, and glass gems will be available to adorn your house with. The sky’s the limit for decorating these adorable 10-inch wooden birdhouses. This class is perfect for all skill levels. No glass cutting or experience is required. All supplies and tools will be provided. Supplies and instructions to grout projects will be sent home with participants. (Birdhouse style and glass colors may vary depending on availability).

Join Denise, an American Heart Association certified instructor, to learn infant, child, and adult CPR. Denise will also cover AED and choking. This course meets the requirements for the BLS Healthcare Provider and related positions as well as childcare providers.

This course trains participants to give CPR (cardiopulmonary) resuscitation) and use an AED ( automated external defibrillator) in a safe, timely, and effective manner. Training is intended for non-medical participants.

Online learning classes are taught by Safeway instructors. The State requires that students have a camera and microphone and be actively engaged with the instructor during each 3-hour class. If a student misses a lesson, they can make up that exact lesson by registering for a make-up lesson on their Safeway account. Blue cards would be mailed out to students after class is completed. The permit test is not provided during the class. Safeway would email the Zoom information and account verification email before the class begins.

Topics will include Parts A, B, C, & D of Medicare, application process, estimated costs, supplements, MAPD, and when is the right time to sign up. This is an ideal course for people that are turning 65 or over 65 and coming off their employer medical plan as well as those currently enrolled in Medicare.

Have fun with your friends and learn make your own fused glass Coasters! Each participant will select their special COE glass, hand cut and design 4-4”x4” coasters. A great gift idea and a great way to spend some time with friends and family in a collaborative artisan environment. Make the fused glass coasters in class. They will be brought back to the artist studio for fusing in a kiln at about 1400 degrees. Your coasters will be returned for pick up. Supplies and tools provided. Just bring your creative ideas!
