  • TENNIS (Summer Session II) Grades 2-3

    Basic fundamentals will be introduced and reviewed. Students will be divided within the class by experience level (beginners and advanced beginners). Foam and low-pressure balls will be used to develop rally skills and match play. *Please wear tennis shoes, bring a racquet and a water bottle, and donate a new can of tennis balls (one new can per session) to help us keep our fees low for lessons. Balls will stay with the Tennis Program. On RAIN DAYS, lessons will be canceled and students can make-up missed time during a different lesson/session held throughout the Summer.     AGES 3-5 YEARS / GRADES K-1(same time/separate groups): Tennis should be fun! This class is designed to introduce preschool age children and students to the game of tennis. Emphasis will be on learning the basic skills of forehand, backhand, serve, and volley in a non-competitive and fun environment. Students will develop skills using foam balls, smaller nets, and shorter courts.
