  • Drivers Education - Safeway Online class (Jan 6 - 22, 2025)

    Online learning classes are taught by Safeway instructors. The State requires that students have a camera and microphone and be actively engaged with the instructor during each 3-hour class. If a student misses a lesson, they can make up that exact lesson by registering for a make-up lesson on their Safeway account. Blue cards would be mailed out to students after class is completed. The permit test is not provided during the class. Safeway would email the Zoom information and account verification email before the class begins.

Without these important documents, it can be difficult for your loved ones to get health care information, make health care decisions on your behalf or handle your financial affairs should you become incapacitated. Gain valuable information and tools to organize your affairs. Receive instructions and professionally prepared forms, and have access to witnesses and a notary public. Must bring your driver’s license for identification. This class is a great supplement to the Writing your Own Will class.
  • DRIVERS ED In-person SPRING 2025 (March 24, 26,31 April 2, 3, 7, 9, 10, 14, 16 2025)

    In-person classes are taught by licensed High School teachers. The State requires that students attend all 30 hours of the class. If they miss one class, they will need to make arrangements with the instructor to make it up and pay an additional fee. Blue cards are given out to students after class is completed. A practice permit test is provided during the class. Behind-the-wheel Instruction includes six hours of driving in private lessons. Their Driver's Education teacher will contact students to schedule their 6 hours of behind-the-wheel instruction, usually within six months after receiving their permit. Parent involvement is required to produce safe, responsible teen drivers and practice regularly with their student drivers. The state requires that students have a minimum of 50 hours of practice (15 hours at night). The practice time must be recorded on a state-approved Supervised Driving Log and presented at the road test. These classes are not required but qualify the parent to receive a certificate that allows their student reduced practice time (from 50 to 40 hours). HERE'S WHAT YOU HAVE TO DO! Successfully finish the classroom portion of Driver's Education. When completed, you will receive your blue card to take with you to the Driver's Exam Station to take your permit test. Also, bring: a primary identification, such as your birth certificate or passport a secondary identification, such as your school ID your Social Security card After passing your permit test, you will be issued your permit, which you need to have prior to starting behind the wheel. Behind the Wheel must be completed within two years after finishing the classroom.

    Sept 9, 2024 - June 5, 2025 HHS upper level indoor track M-F: 6:00-7:00 AM and 3:00-10:00 PM*Sat: 8 AM - 3PM* $20 per person per school year $10 for Senior Center Members and Adult with Disabilities Program Participants Enter through the upper doors of the high school and enjoy a walk in a temperature controlled environment. Walk passes can be purchased online but participants must pick up a pass and have their driver’s license scanned for a raptor badge at Tilden Community Center. Passes are not issued at the high school. Dates are subject to change. Walking during the school day is not permitted because we do not have staff to supervise the area and high school students are using the track during the school day. *A walk program information letter that will include building closed dates and all other necessary information can be picked up at Tilden Community Center or a link will be in your email confirmation.
