Ability 2 Believe is offering a 4 day summer camp for students on an IEP or 504 plan. Students will have fun learning and playing alongside their peers. The camp offers a variety of activities such as arts and crafts, special activities and outdoor playtime. The adaptive camp will be held at McAuliffe August 12th-15th from 9:30am-11:30am.

In this advanced drawing class designed especially for older kids, we’ll explore the exciting world of Anime! Artists will fine-tune their drawing skills as they master techniques and draw popular characters like Egg Gudetama (Lazy Egg Yolk), Totoro, and more! This course is best suited for 10 to 13-year-olds interested in learning the current practices of caring for young children and how to manage their babysitting business. Students will learn safety and injury prevention, first aid basics, feeding and caring for infants and how to handle behavior problems. Students receive a reference book, handouts, babysitting bag and first aid kit. Bring snacks, lunch, a drink, a pencil, and colored pencils or markers.

GRASP is a correspondence program for grades K-8 which helps students maintain reading and math skills while they are on summer break. This program helps students retain skills learned during the past school year by providing review exercises. Students work on lessons weekly, send them in, and receive feedback from real educators. There is even an online option for 4th-8th grade. Order the grade level your student is in the process of completing. This is a review program, not intended for introducing new topics. Families save $10 when registering for both Math and Reading! Registration closes Sunday, April 28th. Materials can be sent to your child's school for distribution if they attend one of our public schools. If you do not attend one of our public schools, you will be notified when materials are available for pick up from Tilden Community Center.

Let your imagination grow wild as you enter the imaginary world of garden gnomes! Create several whimsical furnishings to lure gnomes into the garden such as stools, a pond, walkways, a gnome house and more! Live plants will also be added to your garden and include take home care instructions. All supplies and material will be provided. A portion of this class may be held outdoors, weather permitting.

Gelli prints are a fresh twist on monoprinting. You will learn about nontraditional printmaking, then create a series of unique prints from gelatin plates combining natural materials, stencils and paint. This method allows for experimenting with layers as well as exploring natural shapes and textures.

The sun is your best friend if you know how to use it! This class teaches how to cook with just the sun. Solar cooking bypasses traditional cooking means. No electricity, gas, charcoal, or wood needed for solar cooking. Students will learn how to cook meals, dry food for preservation, and purify water all with the sun. In the end, students will build their own mini sun oven and take home an edible micro green plant.

In this advanced class designed specifically for older artists, we’ll learn and master a simple step-by-step method to truly fantastic drawings. Explore the captivating realm of electromagnets, learning the principles that power many everyday devices, and conduct hands-on experiments to unravel the mysteries of magnetism. This camp is perfect for inspiring future gardeners who like to play in the dirt! Campers will create a succulent terrarium, container herb garden, hydro paint a flower pot, create treats for the birds, assemble glass beaded suncatchers, paint inspirational rocks and more! Learn 3D design and modeling skills using Tinkercad while creating a wand, then create your own magical pendant. Create fun designs to complete different magical CAD challenges. This course will introduce students to using CAD modeling & design software. They'll also do fun Hogwarts-inspired challenges in TinkerCAD's SimLab. Student-designed pendants will be printed and sent home at the end of class. Printing and material fees are included. If printing is not completed in class, prints will be mailed home. Bring your creations to life in this 3D printing class. The ancient craft of jewelry making is brought to the modern world using TinkerCad and 3D printers. Students will learn to build 2D and 3D models on the computer using CAD software. They will design and print a pair of earrings, or a pendant in this class. If printing is not completed in class, prints will be mailed home. Please bring lunch and a drink.

Survival Camp in Minecraft: Team up & Survive in our multiplayer world. Explore the unknown and join other Survival enthusiasts to overcome challenges, complete quests on our server.
